During a Thai session acupressure, rhythmic compressions and passive stretching techniques are used to promote balance in your body's energy and musculature. This gentle and holistic approach, also known as Northern Style or Nuad Bo Rarn, promotes relaxation, stimulates internal organs, relieves pain, improves flexibility and overall well-being. It enhances both your physical and mental health. This form of massage is different from the traditional Western style of massage in that instead of a massage table, you lie on a Thai floor mat and I, the therapist, use my hands, arms, legs and feet to perform the massage techniques. Other differences to note are that there are no lotions or oils used, and you are fully clothed, so you should wear loose comfortable clothing. Thai massage may look scary, but don't let the rumors fool you, this style is gentle but effective and honestly quite relaxing.
